Returns & Refunds Policy
At Tapan’s Tea Co., we strive to ensure customer satisfaction and are committed to providing high-quality tea products. In rare cases if you receive any defective or wrong items, we are here to assist you. Please review the following information regarding our Refunds & Returns policy:
Return Request Process:
Damaged or Defective Products:
- If you receive damaged or defective item(s), please report the issue to us within 48 hours of delivery by emailing us at care@tapanstea.com. In your email, please include the following details:
- Your name
- Order number
- Description of the damage
- Photos of the damage
(You must include pictures of the product and the packaging, including the shipping box, to complete a damage claim. It is important to keep the original packaging as it may be required for a damage investigation with the carrier.)
Wrong Products:
- Return Initiation:
If you are dissatisfied with any item(s) in your order, you have 7 calendar days from the date of receiving the order to initiate a return. Please note that for health and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns of opened teas. All returned items must be unused and in their original packaging. To initiate a return, please mail us at care@tapanstea.com with the subject line “Wrong Product Received.” Please include:
- You name
- You order number
- Photos of the product received
- Return Shipping:
Customers are responsible for the shipping costs associated with returning the item(s) unless the return is due to our error. Please note that we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item(s). All items must be returned to:

- Inspection and Refunds:
After we receive the returned item(s), our team will inspect them to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria. If the return is approved, we will initiate the refund process. Please allow for processing time, and note that shipping costs are non-refundable. The refund will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
Order Cancellation:
- Customers can cancel an order if it has not been dispatched from our facility. We typically ship orders by 12:00 PM Indian Standard Time (IST). Any cancellation request received before this time can be accommodated.
Exchanges:
- We do not offer direct exchanges online. If you would like to exchange an unopened item, we recommend following our return process and using your refund to place a new order. Please note that shipping costs are non-refundable.
If you are local (near Kolkata, India) and wish to exchange an unopened item, please contact us with the details. We may be able to facilitate an in-person exchange at our warehouse or one of our retail locations. Please email us at care@tapanstea.com with your name, order number, and a list of items you wish to exchange.
